FS PRO, an idea that made its own way...

FS PRODUCTIONS saw the light in 1999. We were young directors with little means, and we had to put the camera on our shoulders and on the tripod. The performance of our productions was reasonable, but we were far from the exceptional quality that a camera stabilizer or a rail system could offer. But who could utilize such equipments, other than the big production studios or the well-known directors? So we decided to build it with our very own hands! Many months of trial and error were required for designing, prototyping, piercing, and assembling, until we finally succeeded at building the first FS PRO…

The emotions were flowing when the first images were produced with the FS PRO! The steadiness, fluidity, and such remarkable framing, suddenly turned us into pros! We could have stopped there and kept this wonderful secret of steady images to ourselves. However we decided that would have been much too selfish on our part! We knew the difficulties faced by cinematographers: Tight budgets, choosing investments, bills to be paid; these are all realities that constrain the work of an artist and the final movie artwork. We know this because we have lived the experience!

Thus we rolled up our sleeves and worked hard to offer everyone a camera stabilizer capable of having a performance comparable to others offered in the market, but at a better price. That’s how the first serial production of FS PRO was launched at the end of 2003. Since then, we have allowed many video amateurs, semi pros, and professionals to be able to acquire a stabilizer respecting their investment budget. Passionates people in Quebec, France, Spain, and Columbia were the first to trust us and they have not regretted it.
